UE4 Tech Artist

Our Automotive OEM Client based in Coventry, UK is searching for a UE4 Tech Artist on an Outside IR35 Contract basis. This is a rare and fantastic opportunity to join a highly creative and innovative design studio. There will be flexible working options and hardware/software provided.

Job Purpose

• Assist in moving our current VR solutions & capabilities over to UE4/UE5

• Work with the in-house artists to develop a set of tools to speed up the creation process.

• To assist artists with technical rendering challenges.

In the agile team that we have, you are expected to be pragmatic about working methodologies. The main area you’ll be focusing on is to speed up our current workflow with tools & new processes. As the role of Technical Artist, you’re required to find creative solutions that help artists reach their desired outcome faster and as efficiently as possible.

Roles/Responsibilities

• Build on our current VR capabilities and incorporate new techniques while moving to UE4/UE5

• Support in house visualisation team with technical rendering in UE4. (Such as; car animations, day night cycles, RTX problem solving, etc..)

• Work with the Viz manger to define system requirements.

• Help in the creation on a data pipeline.

• Maintain persistent in UE4 sessions with latest data

• Assist in development of VR Bucks

Personal Specification

• Knowledge & Experience
• Minimum 5 years’ experience with Unreal and VR.
• Deep understanding of UE4’s blueprints.
• C++, Python knowledge.
• Fluent in English
• A strong communicator with excellent presentation skills.
• Demonstrate a strong drive, independence and confidence as well as operating as part of a team.
