Our automotive OEM based in Norfolk are looking for an Automotive UI/UX Designer to join their team.

A UI/UX Designer is required to work on our infotainment and HMI systems, for current and future vehicle programmes.

-Design the company's HMI systems, using a mix of 2D and 3D software such as Photoshop, Illustrator, 3DS Max and Blender and have at least 5 years automotive UI experience.

-Design and execute modern UI concepts for instrument clusters and infotainment systems, in-line with the product profile of each vehicle and establish a standard UX direction for the company, working under the direction of the Head of Design and senior management.

-As well as the driver-focused experience, deliver concepts for front seat and rear seat passengers.


- Must be able to present high quality graphics, animations and concepts at design reviews

- Provide a machine with all the required 2D/3D software

- Able to keep an accurate history of design changes and themes throughout the design process

- Ability to keep track of model specific UI variants

- When required work with other designers, CAS and studio engineering

- Ability to work closely with programmers and suppliers

- Recommend best practices for HMI systems

- Knowledge of global legalities concerning safe usage of HMI systems in a vehicle

- Ability to work to a project timing plan and managing own time, to meet design review schedules

- Ability to undertake larger/broader tasks than typically required at larger studios, with larger teams

- Basic Office skills - Word, Excel etc
