Description

Our automotive Client based in Coventry; West Midlands are looking for an experienced UE4 Technical Developer to join their growing team. Contracts are long-term and Outside IR35 with attractive day rates on offer.

Job Purpose:

  • To help build and maintain the in-house data pipeline, including all aspects of the process from data management to hardware specification.
  • Work with the in-house artists to develop a set of tools to speed up the creation process. To assist artists with technical rendering challenges.
  • In the agile team that our client has, you are expected to be pragmatic about working methodologies.
  • The main area you’ll be focusing on is to speed up our current workflow with tools & new processes. As the role of UE4 Technical developer you’re required to find creative solutions that help artists reach their desired outcome faster and as efficiently as possible.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Build on our current pipeline and incorporate new techniques to optimize the Viz output.
  • Support in house visualisation team with technical rendering in UE4. (Such as car animations, day night cycles, RTX problem solving, etc...).
  • Work with the Viz manger to define system requirements.
  • Assist in the creation of VR sessions in UE4.
  • Maintain persistent in UE4 sessions with latest data.
  • Assist in development of VR Bucks.

Essential criteria:

  • C++, Python extensive knowledge.
  • Deep understanding of UE4’s blueprints.
  • Fluent in English.
  • A strong communicator with excellent presentation skills.

Desirable criteria:

  • Have knowledge of photoreal automotive lighting & rendering.
  • Demonstrate a strong drive, independence, and confidence as well as operating as part of a team.
  • Structured, methodical, and analytical with good planning skills.
  • Flexible and able to work under constrained time schedules and frequently revised circumstance.

Candidates will be considered for remote/hybrid working patterns where applicable.
