Our Client is an automotive OEM based in London, UK. They are searching for a permanent alias modeller to join their highly creative and innovative team.
Description
Digital contract 3D modellers are responsible for providing high quality digital surface models that represent design direction whilst reflecting the requirements and expectations of the Company product planning brief. This role requires automotive industry experience, the ability to adhere to project deliverables, team-working skills and excellent communication skills, to effectively and efficiently deliver digital projects for production, motor show and Concept vehicles.
• Assist in the production of digital design via CAD modelling
• Proactively participate in team work and sharing tasks with other digital modellers within the project team
• Communicate any concerns over the suitability of the model or project deliverables to the Senior Modellers/DPL and the Design Project Manager
• Ensure ‘Best Practice’ is always followedQualifications/Skills Required
- An organised timely approach to working practices
- Excellent communication skills. Ability to work cross-functionally within an efficient yet effective manner.
- Motivational and proactive approach to teamwork is essential
- Working knowledge of CAD software, skills should include
- Sketch modelling (including Polygon Modelling)
- Class A surfacing
- CAD Data Conversion
- Visualisation

- UV Unwrapping
- Sculpting

• Experience within a design studio environment is essential
• Demonstrable expertise in the Design Industry
• Knowledge of automotive design and engineering
• A degree in Automotive Design or equivalent
