Responsibilities:
- Body Structures Design: Lead and contribute to the design and development of vehicle body systems, ensuring integration with overall vehicle architecture. Utilize advanced engineering tools and methodologies to create innovative solutions for vehicle body components.
- Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including chassis, powertrain, and interiors, to ensure seamless integration of vehicle body systems into the overall vehicle design. Contribute to a holistic approach to vehicle design, optimizing performance, safety, and aesthetics.
- Materials Selection and Integration: Collaborate with material science experts to select and integrate materials that align with design and performance requirements for vehicle body systems. Explore sustainable materials and design practices to align with industry trends.
- Prototyping and Testing: Oversee the prototyping and testing of vehicle body systems, ensuring adherence to design specifications. Analyse test data and implement design modifications based on performance feedback.
- Innovation in Vehicle Body Technology: Stay abreast of emerging trends and technologies in vehicle body engineering. Drive innovation in vehicle body design, exploring new materials, manufacturing processes, and structural efficiency improvements.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's/Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: Proven experience in the design and development of vehicle body systems within the automotive or engineering sector.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., CATIA, SolidWorks) and experience with simulation tools. Knowledge of vehicle body systems and structural design is essential.
