Feature Systems Engineer
Our automotive OEM Client based in Dunton, Essex in the United Kingdom are searching for a Feature Systems Engineer to join their innovative design and engineering team. This position is confirmed as Inside IR35 and therefore will be subject to full PAYE tax. Details of this can be provided on request.
The position is listed with open negotiation, which means we can submit candidates with their salary expectations as there is no fixed remuneration, therefore we request candidates to submit their desired salary with their application where possible.
This is a 12-month contract with possibility of extension. The working pattern is 37 hours per working week and our Client are open to hybrid working discussions.
Position Description
This is an opportunity for a Feature Systems Engineer, involving ownership of features from first concept through development and into production. Today is the age of electrification and automation of the automotive industry with new features proposed daily and we need people that are creative and motivated to deliver the features of tomorrow to our Client’s customers.

Skills Preferred- In-depth knowledge of Quality Documents (DFMEA, LFMA, and boundary diagrams).
- Functional knowledge electrical module design, networking, wiring, power distribution, chassis systems, lighting systems, etc.
- Electrical Systems Engineering experience including understanding of systems engineering V model.
- Electrical D&R experience.
- Electrical testing experience.
- Knowledge of software development processes.
Experience Required
- 3+ years of experience with vehicle electrical systems and/or features.
- Automotive electrical testing experience.
Experience Preferred
- Functional knowledge electrical module design, networking, wiring, power distribution, chassis systems, lighting systems, etc.
- Electrical D&R experience.
- Knowledge of software development.
Education Required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related degree.
Education Preferred
- Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related degree.
