Logistics Specialist - Prototypes

Our OEM Client based in Whitley, Coventry, is searching for a Logistics Specialist – Prototypes to join their team, Inside IR35. This is a contract position with a proposed end date of 31^st March 2027.

Umbrella Pay Rate: £27.03 per hour.

Duties:

• Ensure all delivery promises are entered within 1 weeks of receipt.
• Ensure that 87% of parts for the first car of each schedule are received by MRD (More great products faster).
• There are zero build stoppages for all prototype builds excluding VBs.
• There are zero POF (Point of Fit) losses for all prototype builds excluding VBs.
• All shipping collections for prototype parts are on time using the most cost-efficient transport mode.
• Negotiate delivery dates with suppliers to support multiple prototype production builds for all new JLR products and battery production.
• Support the JLR engineering exporting material to suppliers to supply assemblies in line with JLR’s prototype build requirements.
• Negotiate production slots with internal Tool Rooms and 3D printing operations within JLR in line with JLR’s prototype build requirements.
• Visit key JLR suppliers to review delivery performance and opportunities to establish and improve supplier performance / relationship in line with JLR’s Customer Love principles.
• Understand and adopt JLR’s Agile philosophies and raise and overcome obstacles blocking on time supply from JLR’s supply base.
• Present programme delivery status to senior management in various company forums.
