Overview of Job Role

Supporting our client in a HR Generalist Graduate position

The role of Human Resources is to manage all aspects of HR activity including Employee Relations, Recruitment, Learning & Development and HR Strategy & Planning. Within this role you will work closely with the business providing professional HR advice on all aspects of HR activities

Main Responsibilities

 

  • Employee Relations
    • Manage complex ER cases including grievances, disciplinary, occupational health cases & performance management
    • Ensure practices, policies & procedures fulfil UK statutory employment regulations for both permanent and contract staff (where applicable)
    • Oversee the appraisal process and key milestones ensuring high quality appraisal delivery standards

 

  • HR Strategy & Planning
    • Headcount reporting for functions
    • Objective Setting: in line with Appraisal process ensuring key milestones are cascaded to the business
    • HR Projects: Actively lead HR projects including Wellbeing, staff survey deployment & analysis, reward & recognition, salary benchmarking, diversity etc. 

 

  • Recruitment
    • Manage recruitment requirements including headcount approval, start-to-end recruitment campaigns and employee induction, work station assessments
    • Active management of recruitment agency base, ensuring competitive agency margins are maintained
    • Coordinate Foreign Service Assignee transfers (incoming & outgoing) including visa application and management.

 

 

  • Learning & Development
    • Actively deploy Nissan Europe Learning & Development strategy including Learning Needs Analysis, Individual Development Plans
    • Effectively support Global HR with Talent Management
    • Work with local management to discuss options on Learning and Development, create proposal, gain approval from budget holders and deploy

 

 

  • Administration
    • Management of Contractor recruitment and maintaining relevant local records
      • Management of employee local files
      • Reporting on Workday for hours, appraisal completion etc
      • Reviewing contractor time sheets vs agency invoice and investigating any discrepancy
      • Advising managers and employees on all HR policies, including travel

       

       

      Skills and Attributes Required

      • Must have a proactive approach to HR Management, actively identifying HR requirements and addressing where necessary
      • Ability to work autonomously with flexible approach and ability to support as local HR team and report to Global HR teams
      • Strong ability to challenge conventional thinking in the right manner
      • Flexible approach to managing daily workload with a strong ability to work within an unstructured, cross-cultural and highly creative environment
      • Highly confident and capable approach in dealing with complex HR queries

       

       

      Qualifications or Knowledge Required

      • Excellent knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice
      • Relevant degree, ideally in Human Resources
      • Chartered CIPD Membership would be highly beneficial

       

       

      Experience

      • Demonstrable experience in a HR Assistant / Admin / Advisor role
      • Experience managing Tier 2 visas is desirable
      • Experience working with Workday or other HR system is desirable
