Job Title: Management Accountant

Reporting To: Head of Finance

Hours: 40 hours - Monday to Friday

Location: Rowley Drive, Stonebridge Trading Estate, Coventry, West Midlands, CV3 4FG

Contract Type: Permanent

We are recruiting an organised and proactive Accountant to join our Finance Department. This role reports to the Head of Finance and supports the supervision of the Assistant Accountant. This role is ideally suited for someone looking for their next career move and to be an integral part in a small Finance team. Experience is essential, this is a varied role with a requirement to get involved with all aspects of the Finance Department and support colleges. Applicants should have enough experience to be a confident decision maker and be a point of contact when the Head of Finance is unavailable.

Job Description

Key duties will include:

  • Purchase and Sales ledger responsibility
  • Cashbook responsibility
  • Daily reporting
  • Project Accounting
  • Maintaining relationships with all stakeholders
  • Assist in supervising the Finance Assistant
  • Point of contact in Head of Finance absence
  • Ad-hoc duties as required

The person:

  • Finance Experience, ideally within a small/medium-sized enterprise
  • Strong Excel skills
  • High attention to detail and confident communicator
  • Positive attitude to work hard within a team and alone
  • Problem solver and ability to work to strict deadlines
  • Exposure to multi-currencies (desirable)
  • Working knowledge of Sage (desirable)
  • Working towards ACCA or CIMA qualification would be an advantage
  • Payroll experience would be an advantage
